Mazda Named Most Reliable Automaker According to Consumer Reports

Mazda beat out Toyota and Lexus at the top of the recent 2020 Consumer Reports Reliability Survey, causing quite the surprise in the industry. Being named the most reliable automaker by such a recognized publication is the culmination of years of work for Mazda and proof that its vehicles are designed to exceed expectations.

This is the first time that Mazda has finished first in the Consumer Reports dependability survey, with Toyota and Lexus usually taking the top spot. Not this year, however.

Consumer Reports surveyed over 300,000 readers owning vehicles from 2000 to 2020, with Mazda coming out ahead. CR praised Mazda for its simplified technology that provides users with the functions they need without being overly complicated. The brand's proven SKYACTIV powertrains also proved to be very reliable over the years.

Mazda has expanded its engine lineup this year by introducing the powerful turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder SKYACTIV engine on the Mazda3 and Mazda CX-30. Last year, Mazda made waves by introducing i-ACTIV all-wheel drive to the Mazda3, making it one of the rare compacts in the industry to offer AWD.

With a range of new KURO and 100th Anniversary editions, Mazda has the model that you are looking for. And according to Consumer Reports, your Mazda will never let you down!
