2021 Mazda CX-30 vs. 2021 Toyota C-HR: The CX-30 Adds More to The Table

The 2021 CX-30 is making quite the impression in the industry. With many power options, beautiful styling, extended technology and AWD availability, the CX-30 poised to take over its segment with style.

To help illustrate, let's compare it to the 2021 Toyota C-HR.

The 2021 Mazda CX-30 is loaded with big performance in a compact package

The CX-30 gears up and speeds ahead of the C-HR with three powertrains for 2021. For starters, the GX features a 2.0-litre four-cylinder that outputs a responsive 155 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque. This base engine is more capable than the C-HR's standard 2.0-litre that produces 144 horsepower.

The CX-30 GS and GT models move up with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder that expands horsepower to 186 and torque to 186 lb-ft. At just over 1,500 kg in curb weight for the AWD versions, these trims are always up for a spirited drive.

However, if you are an automotive enthusiast who wants the most out of a subcompact crossover, the CX-30 is available with a 2.5-litre turbo. This generates up to an unforgettable 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. Paired with the lightweight body, you just may experience a ride you haven't before in this class.

The CX-30 lineup is available with all-wheel drive. The i-Active AWD system brings additional safety not offered with most subcompacts and helps the CX-30 perform through all seasons. Only FWD is available with the C-HR.

The CX-30 offers better power and performance, but also better driving dynamics than the C-HR.

The 2021 Mazda CX-30 adds even more

Inside, each CX-30 provides more capacity than the C-HR. The CX-30 features 1,280 litres of cargo volume behind the front seats, which is a major boost over the 1,031 litres available in the C-HR. Rear seat passengers in the CX-30 have 921 mm of legroom compared to the C-HR's cramped 805 mm. You will be in for another squeeze with the C-HR's front shoulder room at 1,245 mm, too. The CX-30 increases this to 1,361 mm.

The Mazda CX-30 has a long list of standard and available equipment you won't find with the C-HR, but it is also much more refined inside and out. You can shop for your car online with us. Our representatives are waiting for your call and can answer all your questions.
